What is brain?
The term
"brain" typically refers to the organ that serves as the central hub
of the nervous system in humans and many other animals. It is located in the
head and is protected by the skull. The brain plays a crucial role in
controlling various bodily functions, interpreting sensory information,
processing thoughts and emotions, and coordinating voluntary and involuntary
movements.
The human brain is an
extremely complex organ composed of billions of neurons (nerve cells) that
communicate through electrical and chemical signals. It is divided into
different regions, each responsible for specific functions such as motor
control, sensory perception, memory, language, and emotions.
In addition to its
physiological functions, the brain is also associated with consciousness,
self-awareness, and higher cognitive processes.
